Assalamualaikum!

I'm gonna start a series of blog posts called Preferences, just to see what people are interested in. I'll write a bit about my own preference, and you guys can share about YOUR preference in the comments section, and probably a few stories behind it! It's fun to know how our tastes can be the same, or different from each other. Either way it is, it's still gonna bring us together! Sounds cool right?

Here we go! The first question of our Preferences series! *drum rolls*

Badadum-tssss!

Are you a coffee person or a tea person?

This thought hit me during breakfast. For me, I used to be a coffee person. I was totally into drinking coffee, especially if my Uwan is the one who made it. Since my Uwan is from Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan, she calls coffee, 'kupi'. It sounds funny, but cute though haha. Whether it was breakfast or tea, I would always ask for coffee. I also had those binge caffein drinking nights because I needed to stay up in high school. And whenever I stepped into the co-op in school, I would grab coffee first. Sometimes, cans of it.

But why are all these in the past? At some point, I had a very, very terrible experience with coffee. You see, back in 2014, I needed to stay up and finish some homework so I made a cup of coffee with a sachet of Nescafe premix(I forgot which kind it was). It tasted reaaaaaaally strong but I finished it anyway. Somehow halfway through doing my homework I got really dizzy, and I couldn't stay up any longer. I straight away went to bed.

The next day, I woke up feeling very queasy and I had a severe headache. Weirdly enough, my mouth still tasted like coffee(AND TO BE HONEST IT REMAINED TASTING LIKE COFFEE FOR A STRAIGHT TWO DAYS WHICH IS WHY I TOTALLY BLAME COFFEE FOR THIS UNFORTUNATE EVENT). And the worst part is the dizziness that came with it! My whole world spun around. Like literally, slowly turning upside down. I couldn't even keep my feet on the ground properly!!! I had to stabilize myself by holding on to a nearby object, and it was so, so, dreadful.

I took a leave from class and went to see a doctor. And guess what? It wasn't really the coffee that made me sick. I lacked energy. And then I remembered I didn't eat rice for such a long time before drinking that cup of Nescafe premix. Plus, I was already running a fever. I guess lack of energy + really, reaaaally strong coffee doesn't make a good combo. Not at all.

Now I prefer tea over coffee, though my story behind is a bit... silly. These days I'd wince whenever I take even a sip of coffee. I feel like a terrible old hag :( Besides, tea is much milder and it's good for your health!!! Green tea is a must for me now. I haven't tried premium tea bags yet... but I will certainly do so one day! Oh and have you tried pandan green tea? It's ABSOLUTELY good, I finished a whole packet of tea bags in a day eheh.

So that's all about it! I'm much more of a tea person now, and I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people who prefer tea over coffee like me. I also started a poll on Twitter so feel free to vote on your favourite! Oh and if you feel like sharing some stories about your preferred drink, drop them in the comment section, I'd love to read them as well ^^
