TICKETS TO JANNAH?!?!?!

May all of us be reunited in that wonderful place, insyaAllah.

Assalamualaikum and hi :)

I went to Twins Of Faith 2015 organised by Mercy Mission recently and well, it was truly amazing! Alhamdulillah the two days conference gave me a lot of input and since I got the chance to join the programme, I believe that it is my responsibility to share whatever knowledge I gained.

One of the lectures I listened to was Prophetic Mission by Shaikh Tawfique Chowdury, the founder of Mercy Mission itself. In the lecture, Shaikh Tawfique Chowdury had mentioned about the importance of having good thoughts about our Creator. To have good thoughts of Allah is to know how great He is, that He's able to do all things, and that you don't have to turn to anything else. He only has the desire for the good of you.

Those words are still ringing in my head to this very moment :) There are times when we feel down and that we don't have enough confidence in this life and we keep wondering why life is always unfair, that we keep going through rough times, and we also fear the future. And we wonder how do we cope through this harsh life. We always look down on ourselves. The thing is, true, life is not all about sunshine and rainbows and pink unicorns. Nothing is perfect in this worldly life. We, as human beings, are also imperfect.

However, remember that however imperfect we are, however weak and frail we are, we, are the creations of the most perfect entity. And of course, He will always want the best for us.

Okay now let's get back to the main topic. Tickets to Jannah! Jannah, indeed, requires effort. And even the simplest of efforts can be a ticket for us to enter our final destination, insyaAllah. However, in another lecture, The Exchange Rate by Shaikh Yahya Ibrahim, he had mentioned that it is possible that we can go bankrupt on the Day of Judgement, no matter how much good deeds we did in the Dunya. It's not just about the good deeds, because if our character is impure, all of our good deeds will go to others on the Day of Judgement.

Now, here are some of the "tickets" to Jannah. Or basically, good deeds that we can practise in order to invest for a spot in heaven, provided that our intention is pure and that we remain steadfast on His path.

1. Those who recite the Ikrar Syahadah, Jannah becomes obligatory for them.
2. Those who ask Allah for Jannah.
3. Those who recite Subhanallahiwabihamdihi and Subhanallahiladzeem, a tree is planted for them in Jannah.
4. Whoever learns and understands the Asmaul Husna.
5. Whoever builds a masjid or an orphanage.
6. Those who repeat after the muazzin from their hearts.
7. Those who call the azan.
8. Those who perform whudhu' perfectly and pray 2 rakaahs with full khusyuk.
9. Those who recite Suratul Ikhlas 10 times a day.
10. Those who take the path in search of knowledge.
11. Those who do simple good deeds, like clearing someone's path.
12. Those who are free from arrogance, stealing, and debts.
13. A father who has two daughters and raise them in the path of Islam.
14. Those who visit the ailing for the pleasure of Allah.
15. Those who struggle in His cause, in the path of jihad to raise the kalimah of Allah.
16. Those who spread salaam and pray at the depth of the night.
17. Those who perform hajj mabrour.
18. Whoever says Lailahailallah before he dies.

In fact, there's a whole lot more easy ways for us to enter Jannah. But we have to ensure that our intention to do good deeds is solely to seek Allah's pleasure! And remain steadfast ♥

Since 2016 is just starting, let it be the awakening of our connection and association with our Lord. Let it be the year for us to make changes to ourselves, for the better! Trust Him, believe in His promise, and always, always, have good thoughts of Him.

We don't have to take a big leap. Small steps can also lead to a big change :) As long as we're willing to change. It's up to us, therefore we must take ownership of our own decision!
"Whoever fixes that of between him and Allah, Allah will fix that of him and his people."

I hope this post brings about a positive effect to your life. You and me, we are all imperfect. But it's okay because we can always improve ourselves by helping each other out for the better!

Until the next post, insyaAllah. Assalamualaikum.
